Why does Scoop need my credit card?

For each carpool, Riders contribute towards the cost of the commute and Drivers get reimbursed. When you schedule as a Rider for the first time, we will ask you to provide a valid credit card before you can take the carpool. There is no subscription cost with Scoop and you are only charged for the rides you take. Credit card charges are processed on a weekly basis. Learn more about how to view your Scoop Balance.
